We are pleased to welcome you to the Model African Union
A platform created for students at every level of education to explore and understand the African Union. This is a space where young people can learn how the AU works, why it matters, and how to organize their own simulations of its institutions.
Welcome to the Model African Union.
Your journey starts here
The Model African Union gives students the opportunity to step into the role of African leaders and diplomats. Through this experience, participants learn how the AU addresses challenges such as peace and security, development, cooperation, and the promotion of unity across the continent. It is not only a chance to study the policies and structure of the African Union but also to practice leadership, diplomacy, and critical thinking.
This website exists to guide you through that journey. Here you will find resources on the AU itself, explanations of how Model African Union conferences function, and tools to help you prepare as a delegate or organizer.
We hope that every student who takes part in MAU will be inspired to embrace the values of Pan Africanism, solidarity, and shared progress. The Model African Union is a place where you begin to see yourself as part of Africa’s future and as a leader in a global community.
